Organic Eggs

 

 

I love eggs, they are a staple in our house! But there has been a debate over eggs for years, specifically whether or not we should eat the whole egg due to the cholesterol in the egg yolk. New research shows that eating the whole egg in moderation can be very good for us and actually increase the good cholesterol (HDL) in or body. Eggs are a complete protein, they contain all of the necessary amino acids and are considered one of the highest quality proteins of any available. Eggs are rich in choline, vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Iron. The good news is that after a full review of various top level studies, in 2015 the US government’s Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee eased the longstanding recommendations for cholesterol. Make sure to add a few whole organic eggs to your meals each week, they are good anytime, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Learn more here
